MELBOURNE, Australia, August 10th /PRNewswire/ --
- Instra Corporation Moves Into Asia
- Asia Registry website opens
- ICANN announce final preparations for the .asia Registry
- Instra now supporting Asian ccTLD’s for .hk, .my, .sg, .in.
Instra Corporation, a world leading Domain Name and ENUM registrar is
proud to announce the launch of Asia Registry, a specialized domain name
registration service covering Asian ccTLD’s and Asia Pacific’s new
identity, .asia Top Level Domain, which is expected to be as popular as
the recent .EU for the European Union.
The importance of this vast Asian market ,which is right on Instra
Corporation’s doorstep, represents a key business opportunity for
ccTLD’s including Hong Kong, China, Japan, India, Malaysia, Singapore,
Indonesia and Australasia, as the explosion of digital brand services
such as Domain Names continues to surge throughout the world.
Instra Corporation’s CEO, Tony Lentino comments, “Just take a look at
the potential growth that the Asian region offers. Asia has the largest
number of phone lines of any region of the world – almost twice the

Western Europe. Phone lines mean Internet connections, which mean Domain
Names – our market.”
Figures published by the International Telecoms Union (ITU) in Geneva,
show that Asia represents some 60% of the world’s 6.7 billion
population, and accounts for 25% of the world’s US$ 37 trillion economic
production, as well as 40% of the world’s telephone connections.
To emphasise this development, ICANN, who organise the Internet
worldwide, have recently announced the proposed registry agreement
between ICANN and DotAsia Organisation Limited. If approved by the ICANN
Board, DotAsia Limited would be designated as the registry operator for
the newly designated .ASIA gTLD registry.
Instra Corporation is a worldwide player in the Domain Name industry and
is actively gaining global experience with registry accreditations in
the area of ENUM. This Next Generation technology bringds total
convergence to Domain Names, Telephone numbers and E-mail addresses.

Instra Corporation's Europe Registry is now an Accredited Registrar for the European Domain ‘.eu’
10th August 2005
We are pleased to announce that Instra Corporation has recently been appointed as an officially accredited Registrar by EURid, the ‘.eu’ Registry. We are now ready to accept applications for ‘.eu’ domain names.
Those of you who have already submitted your pre-registrations to us will shortly be receiving an individual e-mail to ask you to confirm your earlier request. As you may already know, some form of formal link with Europe is required in order to obtain an ‘.eu’ domain. This can either be a company registered in any of the 25 European Member States, or the applicant can be a formal EU resident.
At the same time, applicants with certain prior rights, for example a specific company name, or Trademark registered any where in the European Union, can apply for a priority status during the two ‘Sunrise’ periods, each lasting 2 months. This is before the doors open for all applications for ‘.eu’ Registration.
International customers that do not meet this requirement may still apply, by registering a UK Limited company in addition to their domain name. This provides a legal European presence and will be sufficient to register your .EU domain name during sunrise phase 2.
